The Halloween Mr. Jobu almost missed

How heart-breaking must it be for a child to miss Halloween because he is sick?  The weekend before Halloween, Sean broke out in hives...big time.  All weekend was spent trying to stop the itching and feeling so sorry for him as he was so uncomfortable.  This is on top of a cough that we have been trying to get over for the last couple of weeks.  Luckily, Monday morning found him with a fading rash and a cough that was almost gone...whew, good thing as I don't know how I would have been able to keep him home when he could see all the trick or treaters outside.  And since this is actually the first year that he actually "gets" that he gets candy during Halloween, he has been so excited.  He has been asking to go to the neighbors' houses to trick or treat the past couple of weeks, I had to keep telling him it was not Halloween yet.  The good thing was, he actually asked to go home when he had had enough.  I am sure, a few years down the road, he would make it his mission to go to every house in the neighborhood.  But I guess he had so much fun that the morning after, he asked for it to be Halloween again :-)
